And a big congratulations to Amie! Well done for getting your Tax Agent Registration. You have worked hard and you deserve it thoroughly.

Simulated Tax Returns

Laura's done an amazing job getting the simulated returns up and running.

The goal of these is to give you hands on experience so you feel more confident about doing the returns before you speak to clients.

And as a bonus, it also counts towards your hours! 

Laura will be rolling out additional simulations in the coming weeks and months.

Tax Agent Hub

We have finally finished it's and ready to go live 🎉. We will be going live 1 July.

How Tax Agent Hub helps you:

1. Stops reliance on emails - things get lost and it's hard to manage for all of us
2. Gives you oversight as to what stage the returns are at
3.  We can see what tasks people are struggling with so we can proactively reach out and help you and we can provide more training around those tasks
4. Allows us to roll out the first reviewer training - allows you to get practical experience as a reviewer
5. Tracks your hours - you can see how many you have
6. Manages supervision fees - makes payments to you simpler as the supervision fee is handled here

This is a new app that we built, so it would be greatly appreciated if you can provide honest, critical feedback. 

You will all get invites on Tuesday along with instructions on how to use it.

From 1 July you will no longer need to send emails for reviews or lodgments. All new review requests from this date on will be handled in the Tax Agent Hub.

For those returns that are already on the go, please finish these using the current process, including the lodgement requests.

We will also add in your current hours. We will send a list around to you in the coming weeks.

FY 2026 – Starting 31 October 2026, with due dates ranging between then and 15  May 2027. Make sure you are keeping an eye on LodgeIQ to know when your clients returns are due.

June 2026 Quarter – due 25 August 2026

Send for review by 7 August 2026.

IAS Lodgement Dates

June 2026 – due 21 July 2026
Send for review by 7 July 2026.

Super Payment Dates

June 2026 – due 28 July 2026

Client Acquisition 

We're still in the testing phase here, and I want to be straight with you about where it's at. So far we've had 149 leads and 1 conversion. That sounds low, and it is, but it's expected at this stage. Most of these leads come through Meta and arrive cold, so it's effectively a cold call. They often don't reply to a first email or call, which is normal for this kind of marketing.

Here's what we're changing. We're publishing more content so people recognise who we are before we reach out, and we're retargeting leads across Facebook and Instagram (isn't technology scary?) so we stay front of mind. The goal is that by the time we make contact, we're a familiar name rather than a stranger.

We're investing heavily in this because it's about helping you build your hours and, longer term, find your own clients. We expect to see people start coming on board from July. Watch this space.
