How to Set Up Your Accountant Academy Login and Practice Profile
1. Accept the invite email 0:00
- Open the invitation email you received for Accountant Academy.
- Click Accept to begin the setup process.
- Sign in when prompted.
2. Sign in using Magic Link 0:12
- Accountant Academy uses Magic Links instead of passwords.
- Enter your email address on the login page.
- Check your inbox for the sign-in link and click Sign in.
- This avoids having to remember or manage a password.
3. Set up two-factor authentication (2FA/MFA) 0:32
- After signing in, complete the 2FA/MFA setup.
- Use Google Authenticator or any other MFA tool you prefer.
- Follow the prompts to scan the code and finish setup.
4. Enter your practice name 0:50
- Add your practice name as the first required profile setting.
- Click Next to continue.
5. Complete optional practice details 1:03
- The next setup steps are optional, but recommended.
- You can either:
- Skip them for now and add them later, or
- Upload and complete them during setup.
- These details include:
- The email address your messages will be sent from
- The Send From name that appears on outgoing emails
6. Save and finish setup 1:32
- Click Save and Finish to complete the onboarding process.
- You will then get access to the available tools.
- Some tools may be unlocked later as needed.
7. Manage your practice and team 1:39
- Use the practice area to manage your account details.
- You can invite team members if you have any.
- You can also update your practice information at any time.
8. Understand the 2FA/Magic Link sign-in behavior 2:00
- If you check the box during 2FA setup, sign-in stays active for 24 hours.
- Otherwise, you will need to authenticate every time you sign in.
- All sign-ins continue to use Magic Link.
